Tucked away in a quiet little ski run, Stafelalp has the best food on the Zermatt mountain, in my humble opinion. We always ask for a table in the main room near the fireplace and next to the big windows to get the true experience. Their bread is whole wheat with figs and nuts, and their salads are loaded with fresh greens, vegetables, fruits, and seeds. We especially enjoyed the pasta with pesto sauce the chef made specially for us, and we had an out-of-this-world creamy and decadent chocolate mousse for dessert. A true vegetarian paradise!
