Ingredients to make Freezer - Friendly Lentil Soup

- Olive oil, Onion and garlic - Carrot and celery - Lentils and tomatoes - Vegetable broth and lemon - Cumin, Coriander and bay leaves -Salt and pepper

How to make lentil soup?

1. Saute Vegetables 2. Add lentils, tomatoes and broth 3. Simmer for 20 minutes 4 .Season with spices  5. Blend well in a blender 

 Refrigerator Storage

Store leftover lentil soup  in the fridge in a sealed container for up to 3 days.  Make sure you soup of cooling completely before you refrigerate it.

How to Freeze lentil soup?

Allow the soup to cool completely.  Freeze in freezer safe container or freezer bag.  Do not overfill the container as liquids expand during freezing.  Store in freezer for uptown 6 months.

Reaheating  Lentil Soup

If reheating from the refrigerator, you can use the microwave heating all the way through.  If reheating from the freezer, take out and defrosting in the refrigerator and reheating in the microwave or on the stovetop until heated completely through.
