Bustan

A true Mediterranean delight on the Upper West Side, Bustan is always packed with hungry customers. I had green shakshouka (taboon-baked eggs with creamed spinach, fior di latte, and white truffle oil), mushroom hummus, and homemade pita flatbread. I was so full but very easily talked into dessert when the waiter described their Turkish Sundae, made with shredded sesame and honey halva that’s put through a cotton candy machine, vanilla gelato, crisped rice, and dates. Yum!
