Baked Sweet Potato Chips

My family loves these baked sweet potato chips. They cannot believe that I can actually make them at home and that they are baked instead of fried. These chips are a great alternative to unhealthy popcorn on family movie nights!

  • 2 organic sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt


  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F and position rack in center of oven.

  2. Rinse and dry sweet potatoes thoroughly and slice as uniformly thin as possible using mandolin.

  3. Toss slices in touch of olive oil to lightly coat, then sprinkle with salt.
  4. Lay out in single layer on baking sheet and bake for about 1 hour, flipping once at halfway point to ensure even cooking.
  5. Remove once crisp and golden brown.  
  6. Cool completely and store in airtight container until ready to serve.
