Mulled Wine
This yummy and perfectly spicy mulled wine recipe can be ready in 15 minutes and is perfect for a party, a small get-together, or even a date night. My husband and I enjoy making this on cold winter nights right before cozying up in front of the TV for a romantic night at home.
Ingredients
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves
- 3 orange slices
- 2 tablespoons raw sugar
- 1 bottle red wine, (Merlot or Burgundy)
- 2 tablespoons rum
Instructions
- Combine cloves, raw sugar, red wine, and rum in a small saucepan and simmer over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Put cloves in mesh tea balls so you don’t have to fish out before serving.
- Heat until warmed through and bubbly (about 10-15 minutes).
- Ladle into mugs with cinnamon sticks and orange slices already in there for extra flavor.
