Ginger Turmeric Tea

Ginger Turmeric Tea

With the goodness of ginger and turmeric and subtle yet bold spices, like cloves, this tea hits all the flavor spots and gets an A+ for a clean, anti-inflammatory drink. I like to have this tea warm, but it can easily be chilled and served cold.

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 inch grated organic ginger
  • 1 inch grated organic turmeric OR 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 5 crushed whole green cardamom
  • 4 whole peppercorns
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1 tablespoon goji berries
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  1. Place water, ginger, turmeric, cardamom, peppercorn, cloves, and goji berries in a pot and bring to a boil.

  2. Simmer for 20 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in honey.

  4. Strain mix and enjoy tea hot. If you prefer tea cold, bring strained tea mix to room temperature, then in a shaker or blender mix with ice cubes and serve.

BON APPÉTIT!
